![]() ![]() Or, you can put the players who have been found in “jail,” then have the players who still haven’t been found sneak in and let them out. For instance, hiders who have been found can join the seeker’s team and help find the rest of the hidden players. To make the game more interesting, try adding some fun variants to the usual gameplay. Once the time runs out, the seeker can yell “olly, olly oxen free!” to let anyone who’s still hidden know that it’s safe to come out. If you want, set a time limit on the game so it doesn’t go on too long. ![]() After a player is found, have them run back to home base to wait for the next round to start. The first person to be found will become “it” for the next round. Everyone else should stay still and quiet so it’s harder for the seeker to find them. Once the seeker is done counting, they’ll shout “Ready or not, here I come!” to let the other players know they’re on the move. While they slowly count to a number you’ve all agreed on, like 20 or 50, all the other players must run and hide. Next, have the seeker stand at a spot you’ve chosen to be home base with their eyes closed. If nobody wants to volunteer, you can decide with a game like rock, paper, scissors or eenie meenie miney mo. To get started, choose someone to be “it,” or the seeker. If you’re playing in someone’s home, make sure to set some clear rules ahead of time about any places that are off-limits for hiding, such as areas that might be dangerous or that you want to keep private. You just need two or more players and an area with lots of places to hide. TL:DR - I'm indecisive and worried about my in game decisions every damn time, should I be? I'm a completitonsist and click on everything and talk to everyone all the time at every opportunity.Hide and go seek, or hide and seek, is a classic game with simple rules. Will it reward my endless clicking on everything possible? ![]() So, I'm just wondering how this game plays? I'm not sure how much of this is Trevelyan in Oxenfree yet as I've only just started, but I'd be interested to know if there is a lot of extra dialogue/things to discover. Sometimes this can affect certain games negatively because as the game progresses and I remain in the same zones I find that I've already spoken to everyone and looked at everything possible so I get a lot of repeated lines of dialogue and interactions with little new left to discover. Second point: I'm a bit of a completionist and I can't help but click and interact with every damn object and person I see in every room I'm in. I love this but the problem is that I panic that I might not be making the best choices to give me the best story! How much of an issue did you find with this? Should I just choose what I feel is right and push on immediately? Should I answer as if it were myself, or how I think Alex would be (which is of course difficult to know at the beginning)? How key are they? Already I've just begun on the boat and I'm given multiple speech bubbles to choose from. So any helping words would be appreciated.įirst point: Regards the choices you can make during conversations. I'm hoping to add Oxenfree to my list but, as usual with me, I begin a game like this with much trepidation owing to my decision paralysis and completionism. I'm a massive fan of adventure games and adore things like The Longest Journey trilogy, Life is Strange, Grim Fandango, Kathy Rain, Blade Runner, Thimbleweed Park, and much more. (If that makes a difference)ĭon't know why I've waited so long to pick up this game but for $4 on the PSN store, I felt it was finally time.
